Rejection #12 Negotiate a better deal with all current subscriptions
No nerves here, just quietly hopeful for a yes, but highly doubtful. I have been a subscriber to many (quality) channels for some time now. I'm a good customer. I deserve a few $$ off, right? I mean, at the very least, Netflix and Spotify should realise I am their best consumer and be paying ME for being so great. So it's time to do something about this. I pick up the phone and give them all a call. No, sorry. No. No. Rejected.
What did I learn?
It doesn't hurt to at least try, but I didn't get anywhere with this. Although, this did make me think I should really be asking for better deals on a lot more than just my subscriptions. I have heard so many stories/seen on TV (TV never lies) that there are countless things out there that we can actually negotiate a better deal on, but don't because we don't even think to ask. I think this is a great starting point. Don't be deterred by a no. Consider what else you pay full price for and just ask the question 'Is this the best price you can do for this?' You may be surprised at your bargain gains!
